Roland Penttila is an Albuquerque historian who has worked with the Albuquerque Historical Society and Historic Albuquerque, Inc.
The Albuquerque Historical Society and Historic Albuquerque, Inc. created a series of history questions and answers to be used on the ART stations as a fun and educational treat while riders waited for their bus. Roger Zimmerman, Diane Schaller and Roland Penttila worked to find interesting factoids in a question-and-answer format with photos. These Albuquerque history factoids are now available as a fun and educational game. Come to experience our own “Jeopardy” version of Albuquerque history complete with raffle prizes for the correct answers. This presentation is brought to you to support the Wheels mission at the Albuquerque Railyards.
Roland previously received rave reviews when he spoke to a WHEELS audience on the topic of “How Railroads Were Responsible for Standard Time”
