Hello Everyone:

Yesterday, Monday, July 20,2020, the FOSM Trails Maintenance Crew hiked Lower Switchback Trail, Gravel Pit, Rocky Point and a portion of 10K South to remove previously reported fallen trees. A 16-inch diameter fir was removed from Lower Switchback and a rotten 14-inch diameter dead fir and a 5-inch diameter hazardous fallen aspen hang-up were removed from 10K South. Although the hung-up aspen could be walked under, it posed a possible hazard to those on horseback and its stability was questionable.

The above trails and trail sections were clear as of noon yesterday. The morning was cool and clear with no wind, great conditions for a hike. As has been the trend, as the day goes on, the mountain gets very busy with parking lots often at capacity.

Yesterday's crew consisted of Rav Nicholson, Jim Levesque, Byron Garner, David McCreery and Bob Lowder.
