Hello Everyone,

On Wed., Aug. 5, eleven FOSM volunteer sawyers and swampers felled 56 hazard trees in Capulin Picnic Area and Snow Play Area.

Bob Lowder’s and Sam Beard’s teams removed 18 hazard trees in Capulin Picnic Area, and Dan Benton’s and Jerry Carroll’s teams removed 38 hazard trees in the Snow Play Area. The diameters of the trees ranged from 3 inches to 19 inches. About a half-dozen trees remain to be felled in these areas, and they will be felled next Wednesday before the group begins to fell hazard trees in Balsam Glade Picnic Area.

The volunteers were Sam Beard, Dennis Crowther, Cliff Giles, Sim Cook, Sally Lowder, Bob Lowder, Jim Levesque, Dan Benton, Jerry Carroll, Bill Savage, and Lou Romero.
