Hello Everyone,

On Wednesday, August 12, thirteen FOSM volunteers felled, limbed, and bucked a total of 25 hazard trees in three areas. The following number of trees was felled in each area: Capulin Snow Play Area, 1; Capulin Picnic Area, 8; and Balsam Glade PA, 16. Tree diameters ranged from a few inches to 22 inches. Limbs were piled and will be chipped later.

The volunteers were Byron Garner, Sam Beard, Cliff Giles, Bill Savage, Jerry Pekarek, Sim Cook, Steve Roholt, Sally Lowder, Dennis Crowther, Bob Lowder, Jerry Carroll, Dan Benton, and Lou Romero.

Next Wednesday, the volunteers will fell the few remaining trees in Balsam Glade PA and then move to the Ski Area Overflow Parking Lot and Tree Spring Trailhead.
