Hello Everyone,

On Wednesday, September 16, FOSM volunteers will be felling hazard trees in Sulphur and Cienega Picnic Areas.

We need both swampers and sawyers. The crew will be divided into teams of 5 or fewer volunteers each.

Please bring your hazard tree maps for these picnic areas.  If you need a map, email your request to me at samgbeard@msn.com rather than replying to this message.

We will meet at 8 AM at the FOSM Guard Station behind the Ranger Station to fuel chain saws, collect equipment and supplies and be briefed on the JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) for this project.

Wear long pants, long sleeve shirt, and sturdy boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring a face mask, lunch, snacks, lots of water, hard hat, eye and ear protection, and work gloves. If you do not have a hard hat, one will be provided. We will travel to the work sites with just one person in each vehicle unless some volunteers are in the same family.

If you have questions, please email me (do not reply to this message) at samgbeard@msn.com.
