Hello Everyone,
On Wednesday, November 18, FOSM volunteers will buck, split, and load firewood at Ellis and Dry Camp Trailheads.
Lou Romero has gotten a permit for firewood for Joe Meade, a USFS retiree who lives in Corrales. Lou will be driving Joe’s pickup and towing a trailer. He will arrive at Ellis Trailhead at about 9 AM.
It would be helpful if a volunteer would go to the upper lot at Ellis Trailhead early and reserve all the parking spaces next to the picnic table so that we will have room to park the truck and trailer. Please let me know if you are willing to go to Ellis TH early.
We will meet at 8:30 AM (new later time) at the FOSM Guard Station behind the Ranger Station to collect equipment and supplies and present the JHA (Job Hazard Analysis).
Wear long pants, long sleeve shirt, and sturdy boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring a face mask, warm jacket, lunch, snacks, lots of water, hard hat, eye and ear protection, and work gloves. If you do not have a hard hat, one will be provided. We will travel to the work sites with just one person in each vehicle unless some volunteers are in the same family.
If you plan to work on Wednesday, please reply to me by email me at samgbeard@msn.com by 7 PM on Monday, Nov. 16.
If you have questions, please email me (do not reply to this message) at samgbeard@msn.com.
