Hello Everyone,

On Saturday, March 20, seven FOSM volunteer chain sawyers and swampers thinned 1.7 acres in the 32-acre parcel of the 36 acres that FOSM agreed to thin in three years. This relatively large area was thinned, because the trees here are farther apart than in other parts of this site. Also, the diameters of many trees were greater than 13 inches. In the thinning prescription, these larger trees are not felled.

The volunteers were Lou Romero, Michael Arndt, Sim Cook, Steve Roholt, Don Carnicom, Dennis Crowther, and Sam Beard. Michael provided the Gaia GPS map that I used to calculate the thinned area.
