Hello Everyone,
On Wednesday, April 14, 2021, ten volunteers thinned 1.5 acres of pinon/juniper forest as part of a program for meadow restoration.
Earlier in the second year of this project, FOSM had thinned 6.5 acres at the Cedro site. In CY2021, FOSM volunteers thinned the following number of acres: March 20, 1.7 acres; April 7, 0.5 acres; and April
14, 1.5 acres. So far, the total area thinned in CY2021 is 3.7 acres. The total area thinned in the second year of the project is 10.2 acres of the 12 acres that FOSM committed to thin in each of 3 years.
The volunteers working on Wednesday were Cliff Giles, Steve Roholt, Sam Beard, Rav Nicholson, Michael Arndt, Don Carnicom, Jerry Carroll, Dan Benton, Sim Cook, and Lou Romero.
