Hello Everyone,
On Wednesday, July 14, FOSM volunteers will be bucking and splitting hazard trees that were felled in Nine Mile PA. Lou plans to have his power splitter available. We will load the donation wood on Joe’s truck
and trailer for delivery to the church wood lot.
We should also have time to continue bucking and splitting wood in Balsam Glade PA. This wood will go to Joe in compensation for the use of his truck and trailer that have been used to haul several loads of
donation wood to the church wood lot. We will use two new ripping chains to cut deep grooves in the large rounds to make splitting much easier when we split manually. Also, we will probably have to split the large rounds at least once to make it possible to
lift the rounds onto Lou’s splitter.
Meet at 8 am at the FOSM Guard Station to collect equipment. Wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt, and sturdy boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring a jacket in the event we have a light shower. Bring lunch,
snacks, eye and ear protection, drinks, work gloves, and a hard hat.
