To all of our amazing volunteers
Last week I notified FOSM that they would be unable to hold their Tuesday evening guest speaker meeting at the Sandia District Office. This was because we were informed of a change coming to our office policies regarding COVID 19 associated
to in- person meetings and unless mission critical we should pause till we have more direction. So I paused as given the increase in positive cases and our continual priority focus being the health and safety of our employees, volunteers, contractors, I thought
it was the right decision.
Unfortunately this has lead to information being shared that our offices are closed to the public. I want to clarify that our offices including the doors are open to the public but all visitors to the office must be masked regardless
of vaccination status.
The recent change to the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) policy on in-person conferences, meetings, events etc in federal buildings requires everyone to wear a mask as well as be vaccinated and show proof of vaccination and
if you have not been vaccinated then you must show proof of a negative test in the past 72 hours. Meetings with an attendance of over 50 must be approved by our Agency. I anticipate that given the circumstances that unless it is for something mission critical
it will not be approved.
Thank you all for giving your time and hard work!
Please stay healthy and happy!
Best
Crystal
