Hello Everyone,
On Wednesday, Oct. 13, we will be bucking logs and splitting donation wood in lower Capulin PA and in Nine Mile PA. Lou Romero will be operating his power splitter. Joe Meade has graciously donated the use
of his pickup and large trailer to haul the wood to the Mountain Christian Church Wood Ministry wood lot. Joe, his son Jory, and his daughter-in-law, Tami Jo, will be working with us.
We appreciate very much the use of the truck, trailer, and splitter that makes it possible for us to provide firewood for needy families in the East Mountain area.
Meet at 8 am at the FOSM Guard Station behind the Ranger Station. We will meet Lou and the other members of his crew at Capulin Spring Picnic Area at about 8:45.
Wear long pants, a long-sleeve shirt, and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring a hard hat, eye and ear protection, work gloves, lunch, snacks, and drinks. Also, bring a jacket. It be cool on the mountain.
We will be using chain saws and working around the gasoline engine on the splitter.
Please email me if you have questions.
Sam
