Cibola Trail Rangers, FOSM and all Volunteers,

Please see the email below which was sent from Kerry Woods, USFS, this morning.  It got hung up in the email system and did not go out properly.  I was able to get it sent to CTR egroup.  I felt this was important enough to send to all the Volunteers.  I know this will be a duplicate for some of you.  Sorry.

Subject: RE: [External Email][Ctr_members] Update on N Mystery Trail

We need the Cibola Trail Rangers/community at large to understand the North Mystery Trail is not an officially designated USFS trail. Repair and maintenance of non-system trails is not permitted therefore FOSM + the District will not be putting resources towards clearing this trail.

We understand this trail has been long used by the public and there's even a sign but this trail is not officially designated (yet) nor shown on any official USFS publications. The reason behind why this trail has not been designated in the past is a long one. However, earlier this summer we did sign the NEPA to designate this trail as official but this will not occur until we have a number of hazards and other issues dealt with first. That work will most likely occur next summer season. We will be happy to have assistance in doing this work.

Thanks!
