Hello Everyone,

On Wednesday, November 17, the FOSM project will be to fell a large, dead juniper near a picnic table at the upper end of the Cienega Picnic Area beyond the last parking lot.  After felling, it will be bucked and split. This tree is in the same area we worked last week replacing fence rails.  Other down trees in the PA may be bucked and split for donation if time permits.

Meet at 8 am at the FOSM Guard Station behind the Sandia Ranger Station.

Wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt, and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring a hard hat, eye and ear protection, work gloves, lunch, snacks, and drinks. Also, bring a jacket. It will be cool in the morning.  On your way to the project, don't assume every driver you see is going to stop just because they have a red light.

Lou Romero and I will co-lead this project, because Sam is convalescing at home with a broken rib and sternum and will not be able to lead for a while.
