Hello Everyone,
On Wednesday, January 12, the FOSM project will be cutting brush along the shoulders of the USFS road to La Luz Trailhead parking lot. We will be using chain saws and pruning saws.
I have the FOSM battery chain saw and the small gasoline Husqvarna saw. Please let me know if you can bring a small to medium sized chain saw or if you will stop at the FOSM Guard Station and pickup one or
two saws.
Meet at 9 am at the small parking lot on FR-333 just east of Tramway Road. FR-333 is the road that leads to Juan Tabo PA and the La Luz parking lot.
Wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt, and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring a hard hat, warm work gloves, a warm coat, eye and ear protection, lunch, snacks, and drinks. Please let me know if you need
a hard hat.
We will have at least two volunteers in bright vests directing traffic at each end of the road segment where we are working. We will scatter the slash.
Please email me if you have questions or can bring a chain saw.
