Hello Everyone,

Two weeks ago Dan Benton and I walked over La Cueva PA looking for brush that needs to be pruned. We found numerous places where brush needs to be cut back around picnic tables. We also found a large down oak tree that needs to be bucked and moved. We will also attempt to repair one 4x4 post on a sign at the end of the PA road. Dan and I will lead this project. Please bring some carpenter tools, if you want to help repair the broken post.

We will be using chain saws and loppers. It would be helpful if someone from the East Mountain area would stop at the FOSM Guard Station, collect a chain saw with a 24-inch bar and about a half-dozen loppers, and bring this equipment to the meeting place.

Meet at 9 am at the pullout on FR-333 (Juan Tabo PA Road) that is located just across the cattle guard a short distance east of Tramway Road.

Wear warm clothes and boots with slip-resistant soles and bring a hard hat, ear and eye protection, work gloves, snacks, lunch, and drinks. Chain saw operators and swampers near chain saws will need chaps.

Please email me, if you have questions.
