Hello all,

Last Thursday the trail construction crew and four FS staff returned to Placitas for some wrap-up activities in the vicinity of the arroyo on the Chalk Dust Trail where the bridge had been removed the previous week. Some of the old sections from the reroutes still needed to be closed off, and several more sections on the south side of the arroyo still needed to be built (and the old sections closed). Then there was that bridge...  Luckily, two SRD staff had taken it upon themselves to dismantle the bridge the day before, so we only needed to assist them in hauling out the pieces.

The Thursday crew will take a hiatus this week. Happy holidays everyone!!!
