Currently seeking candidates for an NTE 120 day detail/temporary appointment or permanent position for the following positions:
The Sandia Ranger District is a dynamic and fast-paced urban district providing year-round recreational opportunities in Albuquerque’s backyard. The District has a diverse
recreation program including the Sandia Mountain Wilderness, 300 hundred miles of multiple use trails with numerous developed trail heads; various recreational special uses including the Sandia Peak Ski Area, Sandia Peak Tram, Sandia Crest House, and numerous
recreation events; fifteen developed day use sites, group reservation sites, and numerous historical sites and structures.
The District has strong partnerships with numerous non-government organizations and governmental organizations as well as several volunteer and partner organizations, including Friends of Sandia Mountains
for over 20 years, and Friends of Tijeras Pueblo that support the recreation program in various ways.
This outreach will help determine how the Cibola will move forward with both the temporary and permanent opportunities. Please see the attached outreach notice and questionnaire form for information about
