Hello Everyone,

On Wednesday, May 24, the FOSM project will be cleaning the paved Cienega Nature Trail and pruning along the Nature Trail. We will also limb the large pine tree top that broke off of the adjacent tall cigar butt tree in the group area. We will drag the pine slash (branches) to the edge of the parking lot to be chipped later. If we have time, we will limb some of the felled trees at a half-dozen locations in Cienega PA. We will not buck these trunks until we are ready to haul them, so that they will not be stolen.

Meet at 8 am at the FOSM Guard Station behind the Ranger Station in Tijeras. Wear the usual PPE – long pants, long sleeve shirt, and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring hard hats, gloves, snacks, drinks, and lunch. We will be using chain saws; therefore, also bring ear and eye protection.

Please email me if you have questions.
