Hello Everyone,
On Wednesday, May 31, the FOSM project will be processing donation wood starting with logs on the ground in Cienega Picnic Area. We will buck and split the logs and load them on Joe Meade’s truck and trailer.
The processed wood will be hauled to the Mountain Christian Church Wood Ministry woodlot west of NM-14 and south of the Triangle. The wood will be split with Lou Romero’s power splitter.
We need chain saw operators to buck the logs and other volunteers to feed the splitter and load the wood on the truck and trailer. Wednesday is the first day that seven Talking Talons Youth Leadership crew
members will be working with FOSM.
Meet at 8 am at the FOSM Guard Station behind the Ranger Station in Tijeras. Wear the usual PPE – long pants, long sleeve shirt, and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring hard hats, gloves, snacks, drinks,
and lunch. We will be using chain saws; therefore, also bring ear and eye protection.
Please email me if you have questions.
