Hello Everyone,
On Wednesday, April 10, FOSM volunteers will be splitting five piles of rounds along Cienega Picnic Area road with Lou Romero's power splitter. The very large rounds from the large fir tree that Canyon Young felled a few weeks ago have been manually split into
quarters so that they will not be too heavy to put on the splitter. Smaller piles of rounds are located at the group area and at the upper end of the picnic area at the middle restroom. These rounds will be moved down to the road in wheel barrows. The split
wood will be piled along the road until a trailer is available to haul it to the church woodlot. If we have time, we may split wood in other picnic areas.
Meet at 8 am at the FOSM Guard Station behind the Ranger Station. Wear warm clothes and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring snacks, lunch, drinks, work gloves, hard hat, and ear and eye protection.
Please email me if you have questions.
