Hello Everyone:
Yesterday, the FOSM Trails Maintenance Crew hiked the upper portion of Challenge trail from the Ellis trailhead to the 10K South trailhead and down 10K South about 1/2 mile to remove previously reported fallen trees. The trees ranged in size from 3 to
16 inches in diameter. This was a good day for large diameter trees as in addition to the 16-incher, there were 13 and 14 inch trees to remove. All the fallen trees were green and tall and the wood was heavy. Hand tools were used, so it was a good day's workout
for sure. Unless there are unreported fallen trees somewhere along its length, and after our crew finished work on the upper portions, it would appear that Challenge trail may now clear along its entire length. It was a great day to be on the mountain; cool,
sunny with a light breeze (at least in the morning.)

Thanks,
