Hello Everyone:

 

This past Monday, September 9, 2024, starting at the Crest parking lot, the FOSM Trail Maintenance Crew hiked Crest Trail 130 North to the 10K North junction, down 10K North to the Survey Trail junction, Survey to Lower Switchback and then to the Ellis parking lot. Six fallen trees, ranging in size from three to sixteen inches in diameter were removed. Other minor trail maintenance was done as needed. Crosscut saws and other hand tools were used for this work. The day was mostly clear and cool in the morning with the sun warming things up as the day progressed. Autumn is making its presence known in the Sandias and the first yellow leaves are starting to appear.

 

Monday's crew consisted of Byron Garner, Jamey Browning, Susan Gregory, John Cooper, Cleve Sharp, Jeff Kokos, Ken Wilson and Bob Lowder.
