Last year, I was in discussion w DOT public affairs and BCSO about keeping the road open. They had agreed to at least keep the road open up to doc long.

I am goi ng to resurrect this discussion again and maybe reach to our representatives.

We need to keep the road open for winter recreation. This never used to be a problem. The roads are clear throughout most of the east mtns so the only work they would have to do is the crest road

The FOSM project planned for Wed., Nov. 6, has been cancelled due to road conditions and weather.

Dennis Crowther reported 4 inches of snow at his home just north of Tijeras.

Also, the Sherrif's Department closed the Crest Highway yesterday at the bottom of the mountain.
