Hello Volunteers,

On Wednesday, June 11, we will be working with the Talking Talons crew of 6 young adults to continue building the new buck and rail fence on the north and south sides of Kiwanis Meadow. The tasks are holding a buck and pole (rail) in position, drilling a 1/4-inch hole with a battery-powered drill, and screwing in an 5/16-inch by 8-inch timber screw with a battery-powered drill. We will have three crews working at 3 sites around the meadow. I will be at the north end of the meadow, a crew will be along the road toward Kiwanis Cabin, and Joelle Hertel will be with the crew on the south end of the meadow. Bucks and poles have already been taken to these sites.

Meet at 8 am at the FOSM Guard Station. Wear or bring the usual PPE for field work, such as boots, long pants, long sleeved shirt, work gloves, jacket, and hard hat. Bring snacks, drinks, and lunch.

We will drive to the Crest and park near the gate on Kiwanis Cabin Road. We will truck-pool down the rough road in 4-WD vehicles.

Please email me, if you have questions.
