Hello Everyone,
On Wednesday, July 16, the FOSM project will be selecting hazard trees along trails in the Crest/Tram area. Information about this project is given in the attached document. Information about the mastication project in the forest between the Crest and Ellis
Trailhead is shown on the map in this document.
Dan Benton, Jerry Carroll, and Sam Beard will lead small groups of volunteers along the trails, select hazard trees, and mark them with flagging and blazes. We will fell hazard trees on other outings.
Meet at 8 am at the FOSM Guard Station behind the Ranger Station.
Bring or wear a hard hat, work gloves, long pants, a long-sleeve shirt, hiking boots with slip-resistant soles, eye protection, lunch, snacks, and drinks. Please bring your GPS receiver so that we can record the coordinates of the selected trees.
