I added an In Memoriam webpage remembering former FOSM members who have passed a few weeks ago. With the help of several of you, particularly Sally and Bob Lowder, the page now includes photos of 22 individuals with links to their obituaries or similar information. I welcome additions.

I enjoyed reading the warm memories that accompanied some of the names and photos, and I researched enabling sharing of memories directly on the page. Unfortunately, GoDaddy, the company that hosts our website, warns that I’ll be inundated with spam from trolls and bots if I open the firewall currently preventing comments. This is despite having installed the industry standard anti-spam plugin and arranging things such that I must vet a comment before it appears on the page. I would be forced to shut down this feature immediately should their dire warning prove true

Rather than ask GoDaddy to open the firewall, I have decided to take a less direct but safer approach: I’ll post memories shared with me on the page as if they had been made directly. I’ve posted a couple of my favorite memories to get things started.

Please reply to this email to share your favorite memories of our departed friends and colleagues.

Thanks,
