Hi All,
I hope everyone is staying safe during this windy week. Is anyone out there interested in one last effort to finish brushing Embudo? It’s going to be exciting! After multiple brushing sessions completed by
the Monday crew, and many more individual FOSM members, we have one final .5 miles of trail to brush. Here are the details.
Objective: Brush Embudo between mile 1.5 and 2
Where: meet at Embudo trailhead at the end of Indian School Rd.
Total hiking distance: approximately 4 miles
Time: 8am-3pm
Date: 2/24
We will be working in wilderness and using hand tools only. The primary work will be removing mountain mahogany and other small shrubs. Pulaskis and loppers have been our greatest assets in these areas, with
an occasional need for a hand saw. Please let me know or Canyon know if you have any questions. As always, thanks for everything you all do.
Take Care,
