Hello Volunteers,
On Tuesday, April 21, the FOSM Paint Crew will work on the following projects:
-
FOSM Roundabout Sign — The crew will paint the last 2x8x12-ft board red on the top of the east half of the sign. Volunteer carpenter Chuck Logan recently reinforced damaged parts of the board with a new board
behind each of the damaged sections. The crew will also touch-up paint several small places where rough spots were filled with System Three epoxy paste.
-
Painting Parking Stripes in Picnic Areas — After the sign project is completed, the crew will start painting parking stripes in picnic areas along the Crest Highway using a small 4-wheel dolly and inverted spray cans of white, yellow, and blue paint. Crew members
will sweep dirt off the old stripes with brooms.
Meet at 9 am at the FOSM Guard Station behind the ranger station.
Wear "paint clothes" including long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and boots with slip-resistant soles. Bring snacks, lunch, and drinks.
