Subject: Re: [Volunteers_fosm] Impressive Photos of Sandia Crest Work

Cliff, i noticed your comment on "a lot of firewood" regarding Laura's photos of the crest area.  Turns out we had an impromptu meeting with Alfred, Cibola Timber Manager, as we were wrapping up Thursday.  All that wood--logs and slash too-- will be going to Soilutions to be made into compost!  A real win-win, since they are taking the slash too, we won't have to do pile burns.  You might want to mention that on the FOSM website along with the photos.

My Apple Mail had problems with the large file Laura Leon attached to her email about the Thursday crew’s work on Rocky Point Trail. You won’t want to miss seeing the impressive photos of the fuel-reduction work underway at Sandia Crest. I’ve posted a few of the photos as well as a link to a pdf version of her report at https://friendsofthesandias.org.
