On Wednesday, July 15, we will work on the following tasks:

Donation Wood — We will meet Mike Oliver at the hazmat building at 8 am when we will load the split wood and the Rocky Mountain juniper wood on his trailer.

Doc Long Picnic Area — Replace broken fence pole at the entrance with one from the FOSM supply at Don Carnicom's house.

Sulphur Canyon Picnic Area
— Replace broken fence pole with one of the poles east of the FOSM container at the FGS. Precut the 12-foot pole to 10 feet.

Cienega Canyon Picnic Area
— Replace the rotten pole at the lower restroom with one of the poles stored at the container.

Cienega Canyon Picnic Area
— Replace the broken fence post at the Group Area parking lot with a 6-inch post from Don's house.

Tree Spring Trailhead — Replace a broken fence pole with one of the poles stored at the container. Precut it to 10 feet. Need galvanized wire stored behind the SRD shop.
We should be able to collect enough tools and materials from the FOSM Guard Station for two crews who will replace poles and a post.
Tools for replacing poles and posts — battery-powered drill, 5/8-inch-long spade bit, long punches, hammer, deep socket set, old and new 1/2-inch threaded rod and nuts and washers, Forstner bits 1.5-inch and/or 2-inch, battery-powered reciprocating saw
and metal blades and large batteries, hack saw and blades as backup, large file to smooth ends of threaded rods, tape measure, chain saw to cut post, power auger to help dig out old post, anything else?
Tools for replacing wired poles at Tree Spring Trailhead — fence plies, mechanic pliers, bolt cutter, channel lock pliers, wood saw, tape measure
Bring or wear long pants, work gloves, long sleeve shirt, hard hat, boots with slip-resistant soles, eye and ear protection, lunch, snacks, and drinks.
Sam
