Our guest speaker will be Joseph "Joe" Acord, Conservation Officer for the New Mexico Department of Wildlife. He will share his knowledge of wildlife management in the Sandia and Manzanita Mountains, including an overview of his department, conservation education programs, and insights into human-wildlife encounters.

Joe has over 12 years of experience in wildlife conservation and natural resource management. Before his current role, he worked as an ornithologist for a New Mexico nonprofit and served as a freshwater ecologist and fisheries biologist for the State of Maryland after earning his Master's degree from the University of Maryland.
