Our guest speaker will be Joseph "Joe" Acord, Conservation Officer for the New Mexico Department of Wildlife. He will discuss wildlife management in the Sandia and Manzanita Mountains, provide an overview of his department and conservation education programs, and share insights into human-wildlife encounters.

Joe has over 12 years of experience in wildlife conservation and natural resource management. Prior to his current role, he worked as an ornithologist for a New Mexico nonprofit and served as a freshwater ecologist and fisheries biologist for the State of Maryland after earning his Master's degree from the University of Maryland.
