Jen and Chris will be evaluating this area off the CCC to see if signage can be put in. Our group did not like the assigned position for the sign we had.

OK - so it's where the CCC road turns up to Evergreen Hills.  I thought that might be the case.  I know the entrance well (yup, rutted and overgrown).  It would be tough to put a sign there without "improving" that entrance.  Personally, I'd rather not see that happen, but that's just being selfish!  Thank you again!!!

Hi Teresa,

According to the USFS database, Sandy Arroyo starts about 0.5 miles up CCC Road Trail as shown below.  I hiked it last winter and recall that the entrance was overgrown and rutted.   It travels west 0.5 miles and ends at Juan Tabo Canyon Trail.

Start 35.22182, -106.4906

End 35.22083, -106.49820

A job well done!  Thank you all so much for doing this!

One question - I understand there was some question as to where to put a Sandy Arroyo sign.  I saw one in Juan Tabo canyon, but not at the beginning.  I've always thought it started at the parking area off #333, but there is only a sign for CCC road there.
