[ACLU-NM] Another Legislative Alert: Oppose both Defense of Marriage Act & Parental Notification for Abortion

We oppose both the  Defense of Marriage Act (HB 445, sponsored by
Representative Gloria Vaughn)  and
the Parental Notification bill (HB 251, sponsored by Representative Larry
Larranaga).

Both of these bills will be heard Tuesday, 2.15, in the House Consumer  &
Public Affairs Committee at 1:30 in room 315.

(Vice Chair of Committee) & Al Park @   505.986.4300.
  The Defense of Marriage Act does not include civil unions.  We support
Senator Cisco McSorley's Domestic Partner  Relationship Act (SB576) .
      The Parental Notification bill would require parental notification for
minors under the age of 18 seeking an abortion
