The House has been averaging about 6 bills per day, 1 bill per hour,
for the past week. They still have 68 bills on the third reading
calendar; most of those bills have been there at least a week.
They're two hours into today's session and they're still on the
first concurrence bill. It's not looking good.
They really need to go to a year-round schedule (and pay
legislators) -- or else change the rules to be a lot more efficient,
like putting limits on speaking time. 60 days isn't anywhere near
long enough the way they run the session now.
