[LWVNM Action] Zoom tonight to hear Water Advocates speakers on groundwater issues

How much water is available in underground aquifers in NM? We don’t know! State agencies do not know the full extent of groundwater quantity and quality, and they should. Half of our municipal uses (including drinking water) and significant proportions of agricultural and other business uses are dependent upon groundwater aquifers. It is dangerous not to know how fast we are depleting them.

Learn why we should support the Aquifer Mapping Program and Water Data Initiative that will be requested by the NM Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources during the 2025 Legislature.
