Fabulous history of the power of individuals working together with others
to defend their rights against a tyrannical government. The internal civil
war continued for a decade more and could have resulted in in the collapse
of the colonial democratic system if loyalists and traitors like Benedict
Arnold had been successful. That chapter is often left out of history books
and glossed over in service to the American myth that the colonists
cooperated to achieve the great cause of independence.
Sadly we have always had a portion of the population who support
authoritarian rule by, for, and of elites.
