People who were on the LWVNM board when I was state president may recall
LWVSFC member and LWV Minnesota Firearms leader Mary Lewis Grow making a
presentation about the LWVUS Gun Safety Interest Group ( which she still
leads) and the study committee updating LWVMN’s Firearms Position. After
their revision was adopted in 2022, I recommended that we concur with parts
of it. Our board decided that it was too detailed and that LWV’s and our
very general positions were sufficient for advocacy.
