I think NM is in pretty good shape on this, but doesn't hurt to check.

Dear Dick,
The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU Law is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization committed to defending American democracy. Last week, we published A State Agenda for Election Security and Resiliency, a report that provides state leaders with concrete steps they can take to improve the cybersecurity and physical security of their election systems and build the resilient election infrastructure that our democracy needs.
Our recommendations include:
- Form a state interagency working group on election security
- Pass and enforce laws to protect election workers from threats and doxing
- Provide reliable funding to replace voting machines when needed
- Train and educate law enforcement officers on election law, including the rules around police intervention
The 2024 election demonstrated that American democracy can withstand significant challenges when state and local leaders work together. However, threats to election processes continue. And state leadership has become more critical than ever.
You can read our report here. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Sincerely,
Derek Tisler
