Federal Cuts to Election Security Add to Role of State, Local Officials

As the Trump administration curtails federal election security work, states and local governments believe they will need to allocate more resources. Watch a recorded NCSL webinar about the status of federal funding and what states are doing to take on some of the work. “State of Play,” a bipartisan video series created by A Starting Point and NCSL, presents Maryland Sen. Cheryl Kagan (D) and Missouri Rep. Peggy McGaugh (R) discussing election security. Ben Hovland, commissioner, U.S. Election Assistance Commission, discussed elections cybersecurity in NCSL's Election Q&As for Lawmakers series.

Don’t Let Your Constituents Lose Access to Critical Care Through Medicaid

Access to physical therapy helps your constituents on Medicaid survive and thrive. It also reduces costly complications, improves mobility, and supports recovery. However, access to physical therapist services is increasingly at risk due to visit limits, prior authorization, and low provider reimbursement.
