Join us for FCCP's April 1st Virtual Census Day Program on Tuesday, April 1st , 2025 from 3-4:15 PM ET for an engaging and insightful discussion on the future of the census in these tumultuous times. Former Census Director Robert Santos will sit down for a Virtual Fireside Chat with a leading city official (to be announced!) to explore the critical role of the census in shaping our communities. This conversation will cover key topics around data, representation, and civic engagement, and how the census impacts everything from funding to political representation.

In addition to the fireside chat, we will release the Census Blueprint Update, followed by a State and Regional Funders Panel. During this session, we’ll discuss important questions, such as:

How are state, regional and local foundations preparing for the Census in this current moment, in their respective states?
 
   -     
How can we encourage states to establish their state count committees? What will it take to make that happen?
 
   -     
How do we get other foundations in the sector to pay attention to the critical funding and advocacy needs around Census?
 
   -     
What specific resources do we need to build upon and/or improve the infrastructure do we already have in place?
 

This is a key opportunity for funders and civic leaders to collaborate, share insights, and discuss the steps needed to ensure the provision of a fair and accurate census.
