[LWVNM Action] NM Water Advocates May 21 Topic: Water Bankruptcy

Current water use along the Rio Grande-Rio Bravo basin is unsustainable, according to a new study by Brian Richter and Enrique Prunes. Only 48% of current consumption will be replenished naturally so very tough decisions need to be made about where and how the demand for water can be reduced to match only half of future supply.
