LWVC Presidents,

On New Years day, please watch the Tournament of Roses Parade as LWV will be represented in the parade.  LWV-PA has partnered with the National Women’s History Alliance, and we are very pleased to work with them.  LWV has not had to raise any money for the float, except for those individual members who paid $1k to be out walkers behind the float, and those who purchased yellow roses to be placed in vials that are being used to decorate the float.

Pasadena Celebrates 2020 is the group that is building the float, and about 60 Leaguers from various chapters were on hand this past Saturday to help decorate the float. It was fun!  As you already know, both Chris Carson and Virginia Kase will be riders on the float, and about 7 Leaguers are walking behind.  They will be dressed in white Suffragist dresses, wearing sashes with LWV on them.

The Pasadena Celebrates 2020 Float - “Years of Hope, Years of Courage” will be # 24 in the parade following the Rose Royal Court, and should be on TV around 8:30 pst.  Several of us in Pasadena will be attending parade with LWV signs.

Also as part of our partnership with Pasadena Celebrates 2020, LWV will have a Booth at the Post Parade site - all floats park there thru January 2, 6pm where local people come to see them up close.  We will be registering people to vote, providing Voting and election information, along with info on the Census.

We hope to get some great photos that will be shared.

Happy New Year to all of you, and Happy LWV 100th!

Best,
pat
