[Awclist] Access to Rio Guadalupe put in on Forest Service Land

I am looking for anyone with contacts in the structure of the Forest 
Service to negotiate access to the Rio Guadalupe for river running.  
Currently sources at the Jemez ranger station tell me the gate at Gilman 
will not be opened until May 15 because there are rocks in the road. 
This means that the high water boating window will likely be lost.    I 
road my bicycle up there last weekend and the road is very passble in 
any 2 wheel drive vehicle.  Also there are numerous ranch locals that 
drive that road routinely and they have been issued keys for access.   I 
am interested in finding contacts in the forest service to negotiate 
some kind of club access to the put in which is 6 miles above Gilman.   
It is my opinion that special access for private buisness only is unfair 
to a forest service area.  Anyone familiar with this situation have 
ideas on how to proceed.   I got nowhere so far with the Jemez ranger 
office still waiting for a return call from Dan Key.
