Anyone interested and available to attend a meeting with Albuquerque city councilor Martin Heinrich this coming Wednesday the 16th at 4:30?  This time is tentative depending on your responses. We are arranging a meeting to discuss the following:
 
1) long term policy and city cooperation for recreational releases on the Chama River
2) confirmation of safety considerations for boaters in the design of the new dam under construction at Alameda. (This has been addressed somewhat already by Tim Scofield, but want to show club support for this) 
3) Lobby for consideration of a whitewater park in Albuquerque
 
We are "targeting" councilor Heinrich, so to speak, because he is a rafter and we feel he might be open to our input and provide future support in these areas and he is on the water utility committee.
 
Please let me know if you are interested in coming, that way I can let them know what to expect and can confirm the date and time with you and them.
