Hey, does anyone want to hook up a Seattle kayaker with a kayak? He's coming through Albuqueruque en route to the Salt River in a couple of weeks and is looking for a play boat.  He hasn't had any luck finding somewhere local to rent, so if you have any ideas or want to work something out with him his email is Benj.Wadsworth at METROKC.GOV.

Hey Sara,

 

Mike can't rent boats for insurance reasons.  I am waiting to hear back from Taos Mountain Outfitters.  Got any other ideas?  Any sympathetic club members who would lend a boat for a case of beer and a promise of reciprocity when they come to Seattle - great boating up here!  J

I would try Mike Hanselman at Wolf Whitewater here in Abq.His number is 505-262-1099. The closest retailer who rents boats is Taos Mountain Outfitters in Taos. REI use to, but hasn't for years.  If you that doesn't work let me know and I'll see if I can get you in contact with some other folks.
