I am following up on our conversation on Saturday regarding repairing kayaks. I believe that most kayaks are made from high density polyethylene (HDPE). If a kayak becomes cracked, they can be welded with HDPE sticks very effectively. If larger repairs need to be made, a HDPE patch can be welded in the effected area.
