Junior and Beginner Clinic (for Kayaks and Canoes)-- August 5th

9:30AM at Taos Junction Bridge. $25/day for AWC members (non-members can 
join for an additional $15). A release form (available on Website) 
signed by parent or guardian is required. Pre-registration required 
(Contact Dallas at 662-9205 for more information). Clinic cost is: 
$25/day + $10 ACA event insurance coverage (covers both days), if you 
don't have your ACA membership #. On Saturday evening there is camping 
at the Taos Junction group campsite.

General Information about Clinics
Several things for paddlers to know about clinics. You must be an AWC 
member to participate or make special arrangements with AWC. Bring your 
own boat, PFD and helmet. Bring your own food, water and camping 
equipment (most times AWC will provide a camping location)


August 6 -   There will be two Club trips down parts of the State Park 
section of the Rio Grande at Pilar. We will start at TJ Bridge (across 
from the Group shelter) and go down to Lone Juniper. This would be a 
great trip for beginners. From there we will use some trailers and cars 
to transport boats to Quartzite for a trip down the racecourse to Souse 
Hole. This would be for more experienced boaters. There is no cost, 
however, you must be either an ACA member or pay the $10 event fee for 
the weekend. Contact Mary Scofield or Dallas Hill for more information
