[Awclist] Ths Saturday Bosque clean-up

This Saturday (5/19)  AWC is joining the Air Force Outdoor Rec and the
City of Albuquerque Open Space Division to clean up the Albuquerque
bosque via the river.

The RG is running 2300 through town, so there is enough flow to avoid
the bump and drag that is usually associated with a town run. The Air
Force is supplying rafts, so grab your kayak or canoe and help bring
trash to the rafts.

The clean-up starts at 8:00 am and runs to 1:00 pm.  Meet at the river
and Central (northeast corner - Bio Park parking lot) - the clean-up is
between Montano and Central - the city is transporting folks up to the
starting point.

Being good stewards of the river is part of our mission and this is an
opportunity to show that we walk the walk.  It also helps to enhance our
relationship with the City, which rents us the roll session pool and who
continues to explore a whitewater park with us. In addition, the
City/County water authority and the MGRCD controls a lot of the water
flow through the Chama river.
