Hi everyone,
I received an email about a trip on the San Juan this weekend. Steve said
they could support 1 or 2 kayakers, but it would be better if they were in
IKs or larger hard shells. He also has an unused 14' cat if someone wanted
to row it and could get another 14' oar-rig. Contact Steve at the address
below if you are interested or have any questions.
Have fun,
Lisa

Lisa,
Hi, I just wanted to open up a private trip down the upper San Juan River
this weekend to any AWC club members who may want to join us. We have *three
*available spots on the permit if anyone wants them. Sorry for the short
notice, but we just had a few cancellations that need filling.
Launch is at *Sand Island* (near *Bluff, UT*)* *on *Sunday, Apr 20*, taking
out at *Mexican Hat, UT* on *Monday, Apr 21*, i.e., its an overnight trip.
Trip length is 27 miles and this run is rated class II in difficulty. Extra
expenses are $6/person for BLM fees and $2/vehicle to keep it in safe place
near take out (free if they don't mind the risk of leaving their vehicle
unwatched). Shuttle runs $30/vehicle for anyone wanting to exercise that
option.
Please post on the AWC website if possible or send out to club email list.
I had sent a similar message to Michael Carmen, but got no response so I'm
either being ignored or he's not be posting trips for the club anymore. Let
me know if you can do this.
Have anyone interested contact me at:
